Center Differential Lock Circuit

DESCRIPTION
When the vehicle is changed to 4WD and the center differential locked, VSC control turns off and the VSC OFF indicator illuminates.

When the terminal IG1 voltage is between 10 and 14 V, there is an open in the Center differential lock detection switch circuit or there is a transfer mechanical malfunction for 2 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When replacing the VSC actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration
.
HINT:
If the transfer shift actuator cannot change from 2WD to 4WD or 4WD to 2WD or cannot lock the center differential, inspect and repair the touch select 2-4 and high-low systems first.

INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (EXI2 TERMINAL)
|
|
(a) Disconnect the A19 ECU connector.
|
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - 4WD CONTROL ECU)
|
|
(a) Confirm that the skid control ECU connector and 4WD control ECU connector are properly connected.
|
(b) Disconnect the A19 and A28 ECU connectors.
(c) Inspect both the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.
OK:
No deformation or corrosion.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(a) Confirm that the 4WD control ECU connector and shift actuator connectors are properly connected.
|
(b) Disconnect the A28 ECU connector.
(c) Inspect the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.
OK:
No deformation or corrosion.
(d) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
